A distressing number of hosts and hostesses had the same brainstorm: Wouldn't it be a hoot to serve green eggs and ham? No, Fan-I-am, Dr. Seuss did not like green eggs and ham. And that was just the start of it. Geisel didn't become Dr. Seuss until after a minor scandal in 1925, his senior year at Dartmouth. He and some friends were caught drinking in his dorm room, and because it was during Prohibition, there had to be a penalty.”
